Stanley Bakes Bread

Stanley enjoyed helping make the dinner rolls. He almost got stuck in the dough! OH NO! He helped Sean roll the dough into balls, too. In the last picture, you can see him fighting Matthew to get to the rolls first.

Stanley Had Fun at the YMCA

Stanley had fun with us at the YMCA. Boy, he sure can play racquetball! He's got one mean swing.

Vet Day

Nothing really exciting happened today. Stanley just hung out and did school work with the boys. We had to bring Henry to the vet....but we forgot the camera! Here is a picture of Henry at the vet, so you can see what Stanley is up to..... Henry is a special bunny. He gets a lot of infections, just like Sean and Joseph. You can read about him here: A Bunny Tale. Henry has snuffles again. Snuffles is a bacterial infection that rabbits get.

Stanley's Exercise for the Day

Stanley learned to climb trees today. Joseph showed him the ropes. He was a little frightened once he got to the top, but made it safely down. Joseph then taught him the ins and outs of climbing on the rock climbing wall. Whew.... he made it to the top all on his own and then posed with Joseph for a "victory" picture. It was a lot to accomplish in one day. Especially after learning to ride a rabbit. Stanley says the hardest part of rabbit riding is hanging on when he hops and dashes off. Stanley enjoyed resting on the swing with Joseph and Henry when it was all over.

Stanley and Henry Make Friends

Stanley had a great time riding around on Henry's back. He's just the right size! He only fell off once, but was mostly unharmed. We cleaned up his scraped knee and Stanley was good to go.

Stanley Helps with Our Honduras Project

We are participating in Around the World night next Friday. Every family chooses one country and makes a project and brings food from that country to share. This year, we picked Honduras because dad is a pilot and flies there a lot. Joseph likes the money that dad brought back.

Sean drew a map of Honduras. He started by drawing squares with a ruler (like graph paper). Stanley helpd him with the finishing touches. As you can see on the map, Stanley's hand is covering La Paz, Honduras. The capital of Honduras is Tegucigalpa. Our dad flies there and also flies to San Pedro Sula. If you click on the picture, you can see a larger image and read the map. The countries that border Honduras are Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala. He's still working on the map......we'll post the final picture later.

Getting Aquainted With North Carolina

Flat Stanley met Sean, Joseph and their friends from the neighborhood. He walked around the garden a bit and enjoyed smelling the flowers. He was a bit nervous when Joseph's rabbit, Henry, started eating the flowers. He wasn't sure if Henry would eat him, too. Henry and Stanley really hit it off.

Alayna's Flat Stanley Arrived Today!

Our family has been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Alayna's Flat Stanley. We just LOVE Flat Stanley. Stanley is resting right now. He was tired after his long trip from Ohio. We'll be sure to update the blog to keep you all posted on the adventures of Flat Stanley!
